Ben Jones-Bishop admits there will only be one thing on his mind when he arrives at Harlequins RL on loan for the 2010 Super League season - making sure he is in the first team when the Londoners clash with Leeds. The 21-year-old arrives at the Stoop on loan for the next campaign from the Rhinos and is seen as a definite star of the future by the Headingley outfit. But the full-back insists that will be the furthest thing from his mind when Super League XV rolls around.

The reason I am coming to Harlequins is the fact that I want to play first-team rugby, and here I think I have a chance.   -Ben Jones Bishop

Aussie recruit Dylan Skee is being tipped to be a success at Whitehaven – by former Recre favourite Rob Purdham. Skee was a regular in Harlequins' second-string this year, and Quins skipper Purdham reckons he will thrive at the Recreation Ground. "He's a good player and will be a better one playing more challenging rugby," said Purdham.

WHITEHAVEN have signed Aussie playmaker Dylan Skee on a two-year contract. The youngster, a regular for Super League Harlequins' second-string this year, holds a British passport so will not count on the overseas quota. Coach Ged Stokes said today: "He was recommended to me by his agent, and I did some background work and I've seen some DVDs. "He probably hasn't had a chance at Harlequins due to import players coming in over the top of him."

Harlequins skipper Rob Purdham returns to the squad for the visit of Bradford on Saturday. The loose forward has been sidelined since undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot on his wrist in June. Chad Randall is also in contention to return after a knee injury. Quins coach Brian McDermott is delighted to have his captain back in the team, commenting: "We've already started showing signs of momentum swinging in our direction and having Rob back in the team will add to that."

David Howell's two tries in his first game back after suspension ended Quins' losing run and kept their season very much alive. After losing six in a row, this win – only the second by a London team at Odsal – lifted them back into the play-offs. Repeating it when they meet again at The Stoop on Saturday could take them as high as joint fifth.
